    Hello

I keep seeing things like this:

Is this my problem, the posters' problem, or bit-tech's problem? I don't think it's my fault because it happens in IE, chrome and firefox on both of my computers, and most of the time £ symbols show up fine. I see that in the source code it has character encoding as a meta tag - is it sent in the HTTP header too?

It's not a major problem, but it would be cool if it were fixed!

Thanks for all the good work

It is part bit-tech's fault, part browser fault.

Site and forum use different character encoding and it causes a headache whenever I look at fixing it.

I have the same problem on numerous websites too, it's not just here. A good example is on Pistonheads classified ads - very often the pound sign isn't converted properly.

    Sounds like a real headtwister!

It's a subtle ploy to make you use Euros instead... :p
