looked into em not long ago, almost every online shop has them for about that, and cheaper in most cases....
lol thats not cheap as hell, cheap was the £12.50 I paid for mine. Opps I misread that as webcam DOH silly herbs. You aint going to get a good one for that price.
what exqactly do you mean by "quality"?? when someone asks me for a quality digital camera id recommend a good pro-sumer olympus, canon, minolta or fuji. in any case i would expect a "quality" digital camera to cost at least £500
when I said 'good quality' i mean just that ..one that will give decent images for little price .. i don't mean like stunning vistas or anything .. just so I can take photos that are clear
for £60 you can give something that will give you grainy blurry and dark pictures, muted colours and bad exposure in 640x480 resolution maplin have cameras like that, i have a friend that has a "l'espion" (lesbian??) camera from there that was about £60 and it is terrible, as in you can barely make out what the pictures are of let alone any detail save up another £100 for a basic 2mp camera from a respected name
Mappers have a 2.1 MP one on offer atm. The TRUST 715 for £75. And The Computer Shop (formerly Time and Tiny) are clearing stock. My brother got a wicked 2.1 for £60 Mister Tad, what planet are you on? Low-end cameras (2megapixel range) have bropped in price dramatically now that the 5mp top end has come out.
I have a l'espion (the spy...not the lady in comfortable shoes) and it simply serves as my webcam. It takes little pics fine and handles all the wang I can throw at it. *n
im referring to 'decent' 2mp ones, and i suppose my interpretation of 'decent' can be different to others interpretations i recently have been hunting for a seperate camera to my main one (ie one that is small, not like the massive olympus i have now) and all of the ones i have been looking at have been around £200 my point is that the word 'decent' and the words 'cheap as hell' dont often describe the same thing although everyones interpretations of decent and cheap as hell can vary
From what I saw in IRC, that wasn't too much now was it??? Sorry, Penski. I had to say it. Otherwise someone else would have. But anyways, My mom bought a Jam Cam for about 20 bucks Canadian. It was HORRIBLE quality. 640x480, whites where distinctively purple, and the image was so blury. You could not tell my bed apart from capert. Yet the images on the box stated as being taken from the camera were crystalk clear. over a half hour in psp 7.02 could not come up with anything near that. So I suggest you save up a bit and get something a bit higher image quality, or look for good sales like stated above. I right down in my palm pilot what prices are for what, then goto websites and look at detailed specs, and check out places like ncix.com for what other people think of the camera. Right now, I just use my palms built in digi cam, and it gives just at good pics as my moms 800 dollar HP 750 (which has come down in price significantly.)
My local computer shop sell a range of Trust digicams for around that price. I'd imagine you'd be able to find them on the net for around the same. Your likely to end up with something like that or the little gimmick (keyring) digicams.
