In a quiet moment, thinking "I need a new hard disk", I decided to see what prices have been doing in my absence.

Komplett have made a mistake, and are offering 80GB Barracuda IVs for only 69GBP inc vat. MMMmmmm. I'd get one, but for the fact they'll be that cheap in 6 weeks time anyway....In the meantime, it seems a great deal to me.

Be careful of Koplett as they will NEVER replace anything that is broken.

I've got an 80Gb seagate Barra on order and like Rich said komplett can't refuse to replace an item.

I think it is a mistake because the 80GB is cheaper than the 60GB, but they can't legally refuse to supply it once the order has gone through. Like I say, I would order it but by the time I come back, who knows what will be out.

I suspect seagate won't actually release another UATA drive. They've been pushing strongly for S-ATA, and may just move entirely into that, keeping the barracuda IV on as their last 7200 UATA drive. I could be wrong though...
