Yes. The four pin headphones I have (Nokia Purity) work in pretty much all of the sockets I've used them in. There's four pins because one is for the mic.

For £4 odd the converter is worth it tbh. That way you can use it properly as intended, but not essential if you don't want to use the mic.

Edit. I too have been lusting over Qpads tbh. They look absolutely gorgeous !

Spreadie.. I just got the headset (the adapter isn't here yet mind) and am listening to them right now on my Blackberry. So I can 100% confirm as headphones they should work in any socket mate :)

Thanks Andy. I'm still debating whether to take the plunge for the QH-90s instead.

TBH for £22 you could not possibly touch them. I'm sooo glad I took the risk tbh. I've ended up with a £60+ set of headphones.

But yeah, I can understand. Qpads are just stunning. I really respect build quality and those have it in bucketloads.

Not something one can say about the Creative headsets - almost designed to fail.

Hmm really? bloody heck I really dodged a bullet there then. I was going to get the Creative Faltal1ty for £29. So glad I took a risk with the Steelseries. If the adapter does't work I'll just return it and buy a desktop mic.

Damn, too late. I would have said these. Bulletproof, comfortable (especially if you upgrade the pads) and they sound very good after the drivers are worn in a bit.

It's a shame they don't do a version based on the HD 330, which is semi open and in my opinion even better.
