There are plenty of B&Bs on Mansfield Rd which is about 10-15mins walk from the City Centre - basically staggering distance after a night out passed a few kebab houses.

You can find a room for a couple of nights from between £15-£35 a night depending if you want the breakfast.

Ive stayed at the paramount hotel (has its own tandoori restaurant - how many hotels can say that!) Bit run down but clean enough and cheap enough.

But there are nicer places but they are at the top end prices. Search in the yellow pages. But Mansfield road will be your best bet for cheap rooms

Or thinking about it, 'the stage hotel' which is by goose fair park. A little closer to town by about 4 mins
