    search can't deal with plurals...

    Remove the trailing S

search for "cold cathode" not "cold cathodes"

webdesigner deserves a spanking for that!!!

    Re: ******** Search ????

I was silly enough to search "inverter cold cathode" after "inverter" gave me lots of pages. :wallbash:

More to the point, the Farnell search engine can't find common components like a 317T or a 2N3055 :eyebrow: RS and Maplin manage. :D

We already re-wrote the microsft search once, if you can do it better drop us a line (oh and while you're at it you could give Maplin a hand aswell)

 Yep fairly true, the problem lies with the data, we're working on it
:nono: (and its the CPC search engine (its just sat on a Premier Farnell server))

Try www.farnell.com instead, you'll find them all there :hip:

    Whoa!!!

Plenty of scope for bruised egos atm...

I'm not claiming to be able to do any better, all I'm saying is that most people that search for something search for the plural. If you go into a shop and ask for a fuse you don't say:
    Do you sell fuse?
    You say:
    Do you sell fuses?
It seems that it should be standard for a search engine to cope with that. As for the Maplin search engine…well, search engine is really a contradiction in terms.

    Its Fixed....

Webmaster (Big Marts) took the comments to heart :waah: and spent the last 2 days screaming at the screen  ,
The upshot is the search engine deals with plurals :hip:

    He'd just like to say
    nah nah nah nah nah:rock:
