My old laptop seems to have died, and now I've got a good desktop would be useful to have a more portable laptop anyway.

So far the best I've seen seems to be the 11.6" Asus VivoBook S200E, which for £450 looks very good value, decent specs and build and touchscreen might be interesting to have (worked pretty well trying it in the shop). Also only has a standard mechanical hard disk so should be easily be able to replace it with a spare 120gb ssd I've got.

Was wondering if there was anything around for a similar price that I've missed, I'd have liked to get one of the tablet/laptop hybrids but they're all quite expensive unless you get a windows rt one which I wouldn't want - it doesn't need to be particularly powerful but at least want the option to use proper windows programs.
