I looked at the feb hardware article but it seemed quite exspensive for me so i toned it down a bit and got this. If you could help me out with what is wrong and stuff please do. Case: NZXT Alpha Black Mid Tower Case Proccesor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 Stepping Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R iP45 Memory: Corsair Memory 4GBKIT (2X2GB) 800MHZ Power Supply: Corsair VX550W Graphics Card: Sapphire HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 CPU Cooler: Akasa LGA775 120mm Hard Drive: Seagate ST3500320AS 500GB Hard Drive SATA II Optical Drive: Sony DRU-190A 20X DVD±RW OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium
Which Akasa heatsink is that? The 966 is pretty good, i've got one. Only downside is a poor mount as its fiddly and the plastic back mount is a little too flexiable in my view. Do you plan on overclocking? If so invest now in decent cooling, rather than regret and upgrade which just burns a hole in your pocket.
Well if you insist... What screen are you going to use with it, and what do you use the PC for? For a pure gaming machine with a 22"screen or bigger i'd downgrade the CPU to an e8400 and upgrade the GPU to a 4870 1GB or a GTX260.
Yeah was looking at something around the 22" size but i need to level out cost to quality. It won't be a complete gaming beast but i will still use it for a bit of it.
