My second hand aquarius pump just let go of its bearings, and is now insanely loud. So I need a new pump, but I'm poor. The machine isnt overclocked, its just to look cool and be quiet, so it doesnt have to be the best pump since sliced bread. So, all of you who navigate these products every day, what is the cheapest pump you've seen? Links appreciated. Can be used, as long as it works (got any spares sitting around? )
May be worth looking at Via Aqua or Hydor. Both are cheap but quality is suspect (as it allways is with cheap stuff).
im using an aquavia and im happy with it. But you have to do the propellor mod so it will be really quite
I've got an aquarius kit in the FS forums if you're interested. Can't say much for the waterblock but a second rad couldn't hurt in addition to the replacement pump.
If you don't mind some modding you can go with the Eheim Compact 300/600/1000. The 300 goes for around $15 at pet stores, 600->$20 and 1000->$25. I got my 600 here.
