Hi guys i have been looking with no luck im afraid, me and my friend need a return each or a combo of singles..whatever for £30 or less. The journey is Durham to London..and its departing at say 4:00 and returning at some time past 9 at night. The cheapest i have found is virgin for about £36 but the budget really is that tight..so any help of finding any cheaper ones, or certain promo codes that can be used for say 20% off etc would be a great help. Thanks guys

if you go to thetrainline.co.uk and try and order APEX tickets (this can be done from your destination seein as i had them for a uni open day there)

you may need to ask in your local trainstation, but they are usualy a LOT cheeper.

A young persons' railcard entitles you to about 1/3 off tickets. Get one by going into a train station or summat

Or free with some student bank accounts (for 5 years :D) *strokes natwest*

A young person's rail card will almost pay for itself in one journey tbh, definatly worth getting unless this is the only time you plan on using a train for the rest of the year.

If the train is too much you could try National Express, they're cheap as chips. :)

Where's that? That's just a rip off, I can get tickets for sub £8 here. If you use trains a lot a young persons railcard can really save you some money, I must have saved over £100 in the past year.

Why would you get treated as an adult on a train if you're <18 (or <16 as it sometimes is)? Seems like some funked up train operators you have...
