New Dremel Trio Details & Pic Gallery

Dremel's coming out with a new strange looking hybrid tool that can plunge cut and features a pivoting handle. It probably won't be compatible with existing bits and accessories, but from the looks of it, it will be released internationally.

That is interesting. Dremel seems to make pretty decent products, so it all comes down to the price I guess.

I don't know, I kind of see it as a jigsaw mated with a plunge router attachment and traditional Dremel design.

I believe the pricing will be $100 USD for the starter kit.

I'm still a bit envious that there's a heavy duty Dremel flex shaft tool that's not available here. grr.

At least the Trio seems to be an international design.

The Trio is currently only available at the Home Depot in the US, and the exclusivity won't end until the fall. Have any of you guys seen it in Europe yet?

I went on holidays and left my dremel outside by accident, came back a month later and it was all rusted and water damaged. Still works fine though :)

    Awww it looks so cute!

Who's betting the replacement blades will be expensive too with no non-oem replacements available for some time either.

The bits fit a 3/16" collet. In any case, Dremel bits & blades blades have never been super overpriced, at least not in the US.
