to the wearer of the Tattoo, it probably matters precious little.

 

Oh indeed, I agree that it is a case of you get what you want, because it means something, or at least it should.

My brother however, has some such symbols which represent solid things, but others that in my own opinion seem foolish. He got the "praying hands" on his shoulder and he just said he likes the look of it. He's beginning to include alot of old-school tats, like swivel shaving razors and so forth, but I just think he's hooked.

Currently I am trying to come up with a design that incorportates that family crest and my course badge from the army in Finland. I have no idea how to meld them together, but hopefully will come up with something in due course. 2 very important things in my life. Family above all else and my time in the army (recon) was the most incredible experience I have had to date.
