Modding cheeseman -- i have a few LCD questions....

    3013194 @ farnell uses a 5v input, so how would i wire this into my PSU? just as normall -- but wont it blow it? or will it only take what voltage it needs..


    probably sounds like a really dumb question... :rolleyes: :confused: :rolleyes:

    I think that most LCDs run off of 5v. You just wire it into your 5v line (red wire).

    Yeah 5V line... run chop up a molex and runa wire from the red line (not yellow) to pin 2 of the lcd, and from any black to pin's 1, 3 and 16 (power earth, contrast full and backlight earth) - then you need backlight voltage to pin 15 which I think in 5V for that display (though the datasheet isn't great) - so loop a wire from pin 2 to pin 15.
