I am putting a PC Mods server window in me cheiftec, and have just come to realise that its nearly impossible using that rubber strip, so I have been thinking and came up cutting the hole for the window 1" to small, then using Plumbers Silicone to stick the window to the case... What do you think about that then peeps? Also, I was thinking about using blowhole moulding around the edges of the hole, but I dont know if this would work, because it would then stand the window off of the case - would it?
its not impossible, but you could us caulk or somethink like that to do it too. i used plumbers goop. as for tehr blowhole moulding, i would go to the auto parts store and ask them for some door bumper moulding, or order it online.
I've just put a window in my chieftech..it actually looks damn 137 with NO window moulding. You have to make sure the cuts are good, but then just stick the acrylic on the back of the case using doublesided tape, and the effect is sweet.
i used clear silicone for my glass window in my case, look damn l337 until you look on the inside... it hasnt set properly on one side, so it's all white under the edge of the glass, must be something to do with lack of air or something, but it IS setting, just taking it's time
i put this window in my case: http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/qu...ow_Kits&keywords=&hits_seen=&page=search.html it is a pain and took 35 mins just to install the rubber. try this, leave the paper on the lexan, use a little spray silicon and a butter knife and take your time.
