    I'm more interested in how this tech could power cars. If it's far lighter and as much as or more economical, it could mean great things for hybrid cars. I'd like to see at least a leap to 150mpg, if not more!

    The news article lack the "Discuss in the forums" link.

    Interesting stuff... perhaps the battery chemicals could be suspended in a liquid, and the goop pumped in and out of tanks for charging. Stop at a petrol station, pump out your dead battery goo to be recharged and reused, and fill your tank up with fresh stuff.
