Well since I was having a great day I decided to continue my work. I wanted to attach the case to the water pump housing. I drilled the holes with the case and the pump housing at the same time to get the alignment correct. That meant that I had to test the trim around the case for proper fit prior to drilling.

    And the sides.

    And the front!

Then I clamped down the case, measured and drilled the holes.

Then I couldn't find my tool to set the inserts so I used a screw and nut to drive them in. No problems with that.

Last I attached the two parts with screws.

Adding some of the cooling components here I looked to see what it was going to look like. I love it!

Well the trim around the outside top, middle and bottom. Then the bronze plexiglas on the sides, sand and sand and sand and sand and stain. Then theres the custom fan grills yet to come. LOL I am thinking about doing a wood monitor then who knows. Maybe try my hand at some of your designs? Thanks greensabbath..

I have glued the trim between the drive cages and its looking straight.

Now I need to paint the motherboard tray black to look the same as power supply.

Looking great. Curious though, what are you going to do to the drives to make them match better with the wood?

Well these are just test drives. The ones to be used are black. I have been entertaining the thoughts of a custom wood bezel but nothing serious yet.

Hey just a thought ... to keep with the black internal theme you have going why not paint the drive bays black also or is that out of the question ... would look super H O T if ya did .. just means those bays wouldnit stick out like a sore thumb! no pun intended!

Well its an outstanding suggestion but I think its near impossible unless I mask off the entire case. The trim is locking the drive bays in place. But hey that was a good pun. I will think long and hard how to do this without messing up the case. Thank you.

    That does indeed look tight!

Are you going to sleeve the PSU to fit in with the mobo tray and drives?

All the updates are looking awesome, good to hear that thumb is healing up nice. :thumb:

Just a question, what are the planned specs? Is it going to be a file server/gaming beast/silent workstation? Sorry if this has been answered before, but I'm just wondering. I would personally say go with a silent workstation if you haven't already decieded since it would help it blend in with the cabinets.

This is kind of a multipurpose system with some power behind it. Since everyone at my house has their own system (so that when they need to do homework, research or surf the net, they can) it will be mostly used by me. Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition with AMD 5200,(2) PNY VCG8800XXPB GeForce 8800GTX 768MB 384-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP, CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400), (2) Seagate Barracuda 500GB/250GB 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive, (2) LITE-ON Black 20X IDE Burner with LightScribe Technology, 1000 watt Enermax PS, 600 watt Ultra V PS, Danger Den copper TDX water block for CPU, Danger Den DD12V-D5 Variable Speed Pump, Black Ice II extreme dual radiator, XSPC 150 ml reservoir, Danger Den Fill port, and a bunch of fans. I havent desided beyond that.
    Thank you Morphine-Kitty.
