    lo all

any one know what is going on with chill-tek , i placed a order for some stuff and never got a reply , a few weeks later i got a email from them saying what had happend (hospital) , i though ok you cant help that .

phoned them up and spoke to the owner (i think he was anyhow) he took my switch card number and told me to place a order over the net , so i done that and was sat here whating for the parts . its now 2-3 weeks later and no parts have arivved , i dont think any cash has been taken out of my account will check though . is the owner back in hospital , or do you think he has just forgotten with all the back log he had from his earlier illness .

i know that he has a good reputation , so any one know some thing i dont ..

same experience here, i placed my order back in december still nothing. i have just sent him an email giving him 7 days notice full refund or goods, else he will be dealing with my card company. i suggest you do the same, it seems we have both been taken for a ride and card comapnies do not look lightly upon it

I am in the same boat. I had placed an order in December. Nothing so far. :(

Got the email about the health problems and promising a restoration of normal service.

I tried many times but have so far failed to reach them by phone. :(

    update -----------------------

i spoke to the owner a few days ago and told him of the problems i and other people have been having with his service , he assured me that i will be sent my items in the next two days , well it has now been a week !!!! .

if he cant be botherd then why not just say :wallbash: :wallbash: .

i really feel that CHILL-TEK should be removed from the list of links on this forum , for there bad service . As this is were i got the link from (i am in NO WAY blameing bit-tec for this) . and i would like to warn ALL members to not use CHILL-TEK untill he sorts him self out :miffed: .

(modarators if you feel this is too strong then please let me know)

The guy apologised and sent my order through again, plus some freebies!! (seems the post office lost the first order :()

Hope you get an equally satisfying response!

    update

first and formost i am a very patient bloke , i tryed to place my order with chil-tek over three months ago , today i thought ok i will phone to see were my order has gone , and see what his excuse was this time (i have spoken to this bloke mark three times now on the phone , and given my switchcard number and address) at first he did not know what had happend , and said he will phone me back , that was this morning , the time now is 3.51pm and i have just got off the phone to him . result = i told him to not bother .

he said we have not taken any cash out of your account , thats why the order was never sent , i asked why , he said you never gave a card number to me , i then told him "ehh no i spoke to you three times now and every time i gave you my cardnumber and address (the web ordering site dont like my card) , he sounded really not intrested in the slightest , he then said ok i will send it out tomorrow , with some freebies , this i took as the final insult and told him not to bother.

i really feel that offering me freebies should have been offered the second time round , for wasteing my time . he was quite upset that i wouldent take his offer of 20 quids worth of free samples , the total sum of all the bits i wanted were for 11.35 he could have said ok i will send you the parts for free . still let this be a warning to all members and nonmembers thinking of getting parts from CHILL-TEK , please dont bother spend your cash elsewere , were the staff are more than happy to help you and dont forget to send your order or take the cash from your account , thats what i really think has gone wrong with my order he just plain forgot to do it.................

    avoid chill-tek please

I may indeed have been too hasty!

The package I was told had been despatched on Tuesday has so far failed to arrive! :(

I agree - months is too much....

I have emailed chill-tek's enquire email with a small message and link to this thread too see if they will respond to this thread or my emails.

I havent herd too much bad press for them so I would hope they would want to resolve this. Really sounds like the system thats in place isnt the greatest. More than likely its growing pains...

I've only ever ordered a fan controler from there. Came within a couple of days no problem at all.

yeh i sent him a link too though i really dont think we will see any thing of him on this forum , its easer to run away from a problem than it is to fix it . also i seen this on his site and though what a joke .

Here at Chill-Tek we strive to offer our customers the best deal possible on quality PC watercooling and case modding components from Danger Den, Coolermaster, Zalman, Sunbeam, Next-Cool and more. By placing your order with us, you can be sure of the quality, speed and excellent after sales care that our customers have come to expect from the name they trust - Chill-Tek.

lol speed (if i got the parts i would comment) , excellent after sales care (well read the other posts and you will see) ............ i still think chill-tek should be removed from the list , only to protect other members ......

Perhaps there should be some link to this thread by their entry on the suppliers list?

they had a big site rebuild a while ago and it does need up dating I know the owner but we have not been in touch for a while but i never had any problem with chill-tek at all. I would not pay to much attetion to mod town yes it is a good forum but it is run by a competitors store. I will try to contact him myself on Monday and see if I can get some answers for you guys

Hang on................I somewhat resent that remark Couzo!

Sorry but i have stayed totally out of this whole situation from the very start of his problems which i hasten to add started way back some 3 months ago (Xmas time) and i think you will be very hard pushed to find a post whether derogatory or not by myself or any of our team including Modtown regarding the situation at Chill-Tek

He took the decision to close his forum and sever all links of incommunicado so it is obvious that unsatisfied customers and the like would need a sounding box to air their dissatisfaction and annoyance regarding the situation that he and only he has created and i think you will also find this type of discussion going on all over various forums including Bit-Tech and not just Modtown.

What is disturbing is that after 3 months somebody like yourself Couzo would still try to defend such a company by making a flippant remark as...............

"he's a friend i'll contact him myself on Monday"

when it is quite plain that these folk have been trying to do that very thing since before Xmas but with one very common denominator.........they are all ££££ out of pocket and nowhere to voice there opinions apart from forums such as these.

These folk aren't his friend Couzo but just ordinary people who listen, read and trust what others post in forums so what would you propose they do???

/..........agreed it is a damn shame that it has come to this but at the end of the day my sympathy go out to the unsuspecting out of pocket customer who face the uphill struggle in trying to claw money back from one source or another and not the guy who hides behind a charade he once called a business.

Anyway, i will leave you with a somewhat poignant screen grab which was the final post from his forum before he took it down (3/02/04) declaring it had become corrupt made by a guy called slippy (nothing to do with Coolercases) that pretty much sums the whole nasty business up..........and I hope sincerely those out of pocket get some sort of re-imbursement.

Harsh or otherwise.........you can dress this up in a lot of different ways but the bottom line is for the last three months he has been and still is taking folk for a ride and the sooner something is done about it the better for the customers sake if nothing else!

    Come on mods................do something!
