Hey guys, I think i'll be buying my waterblock this week, and I was wondering what you guys think works best
I am starting off with basic water cooling (inline) and then going to peltier in the future, but I cant seem to find a good block for a decent price that can do peltier or normal.

So basically, I think I'll just get the switftech block, any thoughts about this choice or suggestions?

hm a good price woudl be ~35$, but definately under 50$... im using a socket 370, and don't want one with a clear top... so basically its either the swiftech, maze1, or one of dtek's blocks.. Anyone know from experiance which would preform better?

Well you see, none of those (unless I read it wrong) are for socket 370, all seem to be for socket A, that is unless they are compatable or i can still mount them onto a socket 370.... And about the clear top thing, i'd simply rather not have one, but if it comes down to it I could care less, as they ARE alot more asthetically (erm spelling?) pleasing... I've just read like 5 incidents with dd's block tops cracking etc, but I would trust Dtek=)

*edit*Btw Haddy, do you have icq or anything that I can contact you on regaurding win 2k?

Go for the maze 2-1 from DD as it is the only one that fits the criteria that you have layed down. Contact DD direct and ask them if in doubt.

    well,

    MAZE2-1

    AMD Socket A Copper Block

    3.15" x 2" x 5/8" -- 3/8" Fittings

According to them its a socket A, so are all of those blocks listed before... am I wrong to assume that they are incompatible with socket 370 (p3)???
because if they DO work with 370's, that would really open up the market for me...

How does a socket A mount?? Looks like it would use screws from pictures i've seen but I could be wrong=)

Btw, can I get any other people to affirm that a socket A block would be fine on a socket 370?

Not quite sure how that relates to a socket 370 Mat, since it is not there, would that leave me to assume they are the same as socket A?

Hm, went to leufkentechnologies and they have a "Copper water block"... doesnt say it fits on a socket 370, but the test thing at procooling listed it as a socket 370 block *head explodes*=/

Copper water blocks. 3/8" NPT barbs.
    SOCKET: 2"x2x5/8"
    *retention clip not included*
    SLOT A: 2"x2x5/8"
    SLOT 1: 2"x2x5/8"
Solid Copper, no seams or joints to leak

bah i might as well just go with a maze 1c
Oh and BTW, the Jagged Edge has 3/8 ID fittings, and what I have heard is that having 1/2 tubing would be useless if i had a 3/8 block as it would kill my flow ratings.... even if i had an adaptor for 3/8 to 1/2, is this correct?

if the w/b uses the mobo mounting holes, it wont work on sock 370, if it uses the zif socket clips it will
