So, with just under a hundred days before Christmas stuff is already in the shops. I've always thought it shouldn't be out until after my birthday (mid Nov), but that's a little biased, so surely Hallowe'en would be a good cut off point. I've only seen food stuff so far (mostly chocolate), but what else have you lot seen? And what about outside the UK?
The chocolates are in nationally it would seem. But that's me done with Christmass, I just aint celebrating it anymore, last year I kind of did a little, this year, nada. I'm tired of all the crap, and, at least in my family, it's so forced and not actually naturally happy, that to hell with it, it's going.
I have seen advent calendars where I work part time in Safeways It's far too early for xmas stuff IMO
No no, quite right you are. But I think the stress caused to the majority of people for a couple of months before and after the event(shopping then lack of money) isn't worth a single day of at best middling enjoyment.
thats why i cant wait till christmas is over. cause i can get cadbury's creme eggs nicest thing EVER made
It always amuses me when my dad has to go looking for christmas trees in april. Even stranger when he starts doing other christmassy sort of stuff like varnishing turkeys hes a comercial photographer BTW. They do all the christmas magazines right at the beginning of the year hehe
rofl, classic RTT! Christmas Christmas Christmas Christmas Christmas Christmas Christmas Christmas Christmas Presents Presents!!!!!!!! Oh noes!
I haven't noticed any Christmas stuff yet. Usually Thanksgiving stuff goes up right after Halloween then Christmas stuff right after Thanksgiving.
My wife and I went to the hardware store yesterday to buy some dirt. In order to get to the garden section, we had to walk through the Christmas aisle. It was complete with artificial Christmas trees, ornaments and other various trimmings. Hallmark had their kepsake ornaments out when I went to the mall about 3 weeks ago. And I couldn't be happier. I've been listening to Christmas music for the past month. Did I forget to mention that it's my most absolute #1 ultimate favorite time of year, ever. /me off to put in the Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack (Vincent Guaraldi rocks the house!!!) -monkey
The superwal-mart by me has like a whole wing of the store with CHristmas Thanksgiving and Halloween stuff all out. It's kinda weird though cause i walked down the isle where Christmas Ends and the Halloween begins and the talking things with the senors turned on. So I'm hearing a Skelton sing some Halloween song and Santa singing "Wish you a Merry CHristmas" so kinda odd.
Im just after a reason to listen to that "propa bo" x-mas song that was going round last year, Made me laugh everytime!
