Modding chrome spraypaint

    how long does chrome spraypaint take to dry????

    It would all depend on how thick the layer is really, also what the conditions are, ie. is it warm and sunny outside.

    I've used chrome spray paint before on some fan blades and it did take longer than your average paint to dry, just 'cause it's thicker I guess.

    I'd leave it at least 12hrs, that way you know its going to be dry.

    lol yeah it says on the can 4 hours i think i will leave it 6 to be sure to be sure :D

    On mine it says 1 hour, but after 3 it was fully dry

    oh cool :) left it for 8 hours in the event


    pretty dry though :D

    I need to do a few more coats and a clearcoat on top yet but here's my out of the can result after one relatively heavy base coat with Simoniz Chrome Spraypaint on my modded Dragon bezel.

    Hopefully it'll polish right up when I'm done. :)

    BTW - I just found a Product Recall on some of this stuff, so if you get some, check the batch number. :nono:

    I used chrome spray paint and it did not dry, even after a few weeks! I found that sealing it with clear paint (ahhh... what's it called??) was the only way.
