For the past hour I have been trying to stream a film to my Chomecast. But although it is shown on my network, I can cast from my tablet on my PC it says 'No Cast Devices Found.' Yet if I click on 'Options' then 'Manage Cast Devices' I see my Chromecast listed and clicking on the settings cog icon I can see my wifi settings. I have the uninstalled the app, the Chromecast extension, reset the Chromecast all to no avail. The only thing that might be relevant is the extension icon in the top right of Chrome is grey whereas all other icons for extensions are coloured. Any thoughts?
Last time I tried to cast from my PC, I needed a extension in Chrome to do it, Windows does not natively support casting to the chromecast, were as your tablet supports chromecast. The extension was Videostream for Google Chromecast I believe.
Have that already mate. I have also discovered that it is just on one of my PC's as I am streaming the film now via another PC without issue.
