Anyone else smoke them? My gf brought me back some really nice cubans a while back while she was on vacation in aruba was quite nice... just wondering if anyone else enjoys a fine cigar with some whiskey or a good bottle of wine once in a while?
They are nice, but not something i'd smoke on a regular basis. Cubans are just very expensive. Whisky is good, if your drinking it straight you need a good scottish single malt, normally for me it'll be Glenmorangie. Blended whiskies on the other hand, are only good for mixing with red bull, or something else, when your down the pub or something.
i enjoy a cigar on a really special occasion. i dont smoke cigarettes mind, but i savour the flavour with a good, strong rum/whisky/or brandy
Gotta say I find all three enjoyable, can't say I know a great deal about any though. Growing up around the smell of decent cuban cigars, I guess i was bound to love their smell. I live in northern scotland so the whisky things a given, and somehow I started drinking the houses decent wines a few years back and enjoying it(used to hate the taste of wine). All nice habits, if you can keep them flowing.
Cigars = eurrgh, i'm a cigarette smoker myself but just can't stand the strong taste of cigars, makes me retch!
Sometimes I smoke cigars like my avatar here I buy Cubans or made by Holland. P.S. It is not my face LOL it is a singer....
I hate cigarettes, but a Cigar now and then can be very nice. Especialy if you treat yourself with a Cuban Cigar. My pers. favortites are the Cohiba Siglo II and the Exquisito. They're not as "heavy" as the older cuban cigars but do have that special cuban taste, just a bit milder. Downpart of those is the price...
Cohiba are not heavy as you said but they are expensive. Personally I do not buy them I prefer Partagas (Cuban also) or Moods (Holland). Cigars are not for every day usage; only for special occasions....
Must say I do like a good whiskey every so often, but it has to be good-only ever had some with my dad of a winters evening, so I'm not sure which type. Cigars...make you look uber pimp awesome at a black tie event.
I totally contradict my anti-smoking stance on the rare (avg 1 pa) occasion that they're provided at some special event like my gf's qualification-as-a-doctor ball.
