It's time for a new project. this time 5 cases in one time. Luckely they have to be all the same, That saves me a lot time. I sponsor for Qpad a pro counter strike 1.6 team (Equipped gaming). The cases are for them.
Akasa supplies me with the cases and some other products, This is going to be a huge project , Have to make everything 5 times :)
The project will not go so fast because i am working on Corsair Li too, and have some work on Mercury to make it ready for the Benelux casemod championship. The cases will be the Akasa Mirage-62.

Here some pics of one of the cases when i got it. There is one sidepanel with window and an extra without should i decide to make my own window. Think will be last option. The colorcombination will be black with blue , will use lot's of plexiglass , and for the rest let's see.
Dont really have a plan yet , but that is how i usually work , the plan will grow on the way :) . Enough typing let's go to some pics.

The case and extra Akasa parts i will use.

:) it's nice to have sponsors. 5 cases at the same time (WOOOOW) but if all of them will be the same everything will work like in the factory. What type of blue ? becouse black and blue can be a bit controversal but with adding white, who knows. and also about that window ... make it on your own this one is not too nice.
I'm waiting for progress keepeeing my fingers crossed.
    Good luck !

Yeah i will make my own window for sure . Dont like this one too. There is a lot of chrome inside the case , this will make the blue come out very nice . And 5 cases the same will be some boaring work :( But has to be done :)

    5 cases...
That means 1 poor guy on the team gets the prototype with all the 'oops' parts.
And 1 guy gets the final 'perfected' version.:hehe:

Any plans? I suppose you want to keep it simple as there's five of them waiting for an identical treatment.. Looking forward!

Yesterday started taking the case apart.
Such an easy job with this case , not one rivet used by Akasa, dont often see it this easy , saves a lot of drilwork :)
Only takes a few screws and thats that:).

I think that's what started casemodding in the first place, you're supposed to make something ugly into something beautifull. I don't like the front but the rest of the case is nice.

And Snakez, isn't the frame riveted? You should see the TJ07 I'm working on, only the removable motherboard tray is riveted together, everything else (the entire frame) is fixed using screws.

All in all, IMHO it looks like these Akasa chassis are a tight canvas for mods. Saves ya cash if you were wanting to paint the insides also. I just don't care for doors on the front, but oh well. That's what :dremel:s are for.
