I have to say, this is a master stroke, and I'm glad NCSoft did it.
Can't wait for CoV to come out - if it's anything as good as CoH, my wife won't be seeing much of me when it comes out ;)

No interest in the game, but props to them for having a non-idiotic pricing scheme.

hrmm.. Is it really that good? Too many other games coming out this season... its a smart move on their part to compete with all the great releases.. but I'll be too busy wtih my x360 and Black & White 2

I've got a trial of CoH but I have an annoying bug that, whenever I interact with every other NPC, my PC totally freezes and requires a hard restart.

Back on context, that's really good of NCsoft to do this.

nice, i was hoping they would do that.

correct me if im wrong, but wouldn't it cost them no extra money for you to play both games since you would never be able to play both of them simutaneously.

I'm against this kind of thing. Just like I'm against Sony's Station Pass... I'm against the 'channel surfing' idea for mmos. I'd rather play an mmo that wanted the play to devote more time. (just personal opinon on the kind of games i'd play, of course its nice to save money but maybe not in the long run...)

Effectively any online game is pay to play in some way. i.e. server costs. Someone foots the bill for those servers, while in most games its contributed largely by single entities, MMO's are communist (so to speak) in terms of who foots the bill. But then you could argue not all subscription goes into improving the game/paying servers

But on the topic yea, go NCSoft
