I know I'm a few weeks behind, but with being tight on funds, I haven't yet purchased the new Civilisation game.
I'm an avid user of Civ V and was wondering what you all think of the newest game and if it is worth saving up for to purchase?

"The Civilization 6 Release Date has not yet been announced and its development has not yet been announced either."

    You mean Alpha Centauri?

    He probably means beyond earth.

TBH, I wouldn't buy it again. I played a lot of Civ V primarily because I like Civ so much but thought 4 was a better game. This feels a lot like a Civ V Mod /DLC rather than a full hame to me.

Beyond Earth is not Civ VI, it runs off the V engine and can be considered a spin off along the lines of Colonization (which in the most recent version used the III engine).

It's...alright. Core mechanics are solid, but I think it needs some work to make it a better - just how Civ V needed its DLC packs (eg Gods and Kings). For axis are pretty good at this, so I'm sure it will happen, but I'd recommend not buying until they've gotten somewhere and the "gold" edition is available.
