Hey guys. This might be a odd question, but i was wondering how you guys cleaned out your keyboards? I'm using a IBM Rapid Access III, standard looking keyboard, but its hard to get between the buttons. Perhaps someone have a nice tip for me? Greets IK
You might laugh, but Custom PC had a mini-article on putting keyboards in a dishwasher to clean them. You need to leave them to dry for 24 hours or so after - and try it on the economy/low heat setting, but it apparently works. I'm yet to try it, so don't hold me to ransom if it ends in tears.
well if you disassemble the keyboard and pull the electronics out then you can put the entire keyboard to the dish washer. I tend to just pop a few keys away and use a vacuum cleaner at low power. The best advice I can give is not to eat on your keyboard, use the mouse pad instead
Thank you for the replies, ill try the dishwasher thing aswell With an older keyboard first that is. Wonder if my laptop would fit in there aswell?
