So, I'm not very clued about PC-modding, but I reckon you guys might be able to help.

A relative is looking to replace an old clock face as cheaply as possible, and I'm thinking the best approach (i.e. cheaper than glass) might be modding an acrylic side-panel or similar.

How much do you reckon it might cost to get a 30cm diameter circle sorted, 3mm thick? I haven't got any of the kit to cut it with, so unless you can buy something that spec (and I'm guessing not), I would need to pay someone to do it for me. How much work is it likely to entail?

Would something like this do the trick, after a bit of modding?

Depends. If it is an old vintage or antique clock, I'd look for a replacement glass on eBay. It is a rich source of spare clock parts.
