Hey again guys, Might be in the wrong section but is slightly hardware related ! Got dad a new ssd as he saw how quick my machines were and now need to get it set up. Looking for some advice on the best way to reinstall/clone mac osx onto his new ssd? Any luck? Cheers Matt
Whilst i've not used this (as i don't use Macs), apparently this 'should' work if you want to clone things... (though it's always better to do a clean install) &, depending on the SSD that you've bought, you may want to try Trim Enabler... ...well, it's not needed if you've bought an Apple branded SSD, but it 'can' cause issues with some SSDs - actually lowering the speeds...
I can vouch for the Carbon Copier Cloner app. Used it many times on macbooks, mac minis and an imac. Makes swapping hard drives/SSDs a doddle!
