bah :( kay so im here again that means ive screwed something up in my computer..

kay so i was trying out ntuner but it kept restarting computer cause my FSB cant exceed 133 .. due to cheapo ram..

so then i go OO i remember something about a ram divider in the BIOS.
so i change it to 6:4 so that i can increase FSB without going over the RAM limit. then i increase the FSB to 135 just to test and see if its working, reboot. .. . . blank screen.

Kay. left it a while. restart and i get "CMOS CHECKSUM ERROR - DEFAULTS LOADED" come up right after detecting IDE devices. .

Cleared Cmos many times, taken battery out, but what worries me is that i cant enter BIOS by pressing del, and what worries me even more is that i cant go into the AWDFLASH to replace the bios. The computer just crashes at that message, and no buttons do nothing.. . : (

    help please :( . .
thanx everyone, sorry i seem to use this forum more for myself with all the pc problems i have than to contribute.

Use winflash? Available on the Abit site AFAIK. Good program.

I'd recommend getting some new RAM - it can be had for <£20 on the forums/ebay and it's well worth it.

[edit] I read it again... Doh! So the system crashes no matter what? :\

Try taking all the drives out, changing the RAM slot and resetting the CMOS. If that doesn't work, i'd recommend you try reseating the CPU (with a boot without it in), then another CMOS reset.

After that there's only getting a new BIOS chip tbh. AFAIK, these guys are supposed to be very good...[/edit]
