4 new maps now, 1 more completely new map when some number is hit. there's also 13 new weapons, a couple completely new vehicles don't forget new art design, audio tracks.

feels like a completely different game. not saying the direction towards MoH similarity is good, but the feel is completely different.

to call them 'expansions', you'll need more than just maps.

Also in each battlefield map there is 3-4 segments each several time bigger than any individual COD map.
While it would be nice to have more variety in these section rather than the same building 2/3 time in different location I'm guessing they take a lot more work than COD maps, and don't forget new weapons/vehicles in Vietnam.

"However, rather than just feature new game modes on the same maps, Map Pack 7 will feature two maps from the first Bad Company game (Harvest Day, Oasis), and also two maps from the single player campaign (Cold War, Heavy Metal), so you could basically call this the first REAL map pack for the game if you like".

This was the map pack originally referred to, not the Vietnam expansion - 9 months to wait for the first real new maps.

My main issue with BC2 is that DICE have admitted that the way the game is coded makes it virtually impossible for them to release small updates/fixes, they have to re-code large chunks of the game and release it as a multi mb d/l. I enjoyed the game as it was at release, the updates since then have basically broken the game, plus still no mod tools to support proper match play.

COD is a basic twitch shooter in comparison, but that doesn't mean it can't be fun, otherwise i'm assuming that any game with a basic game mechanic (platform games, racing games etc) are also for the 'retards'.

Consider the people who are already playing the game and are perfectly content playing the game for many more hours to come. Ten pounds for four maps is a horrible deal since you aren't adding anything, particularly when you consider how other games are given free maps, as you yourself have experienced.

Ten pounds really is expensive for four maps. Even an expensive full size game only pushes 40 pounds, that gets you sometimes a new engine, new gameplay mechanics, singleplayer story, achievements, easily four maps, and such things. This map pack is a quarter of that price for far less than a quarter of the content. Consider how much more content a 10 pound older or indie game would give you.

You're far too kind. £10 for 4 maps is daylight rape. It doesn't matter your argument, it's an unwanted poke up the bum. The community come up with better and they do it for free. And even if they didn't/can't, £10? Really?
