Yeah you read right, this might just be the best Special Edition to buy. The Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition comes with your usual Art book but also packed in is an actual working Night vision goggles. Don't think this will go for your standard £60 SE price. How much will you guys pay for this?
Shame it's not going to be out in the UK from the looks of it. I can't even find the hardened edition!
Damn you I just posted this in the release date thread...sorry It does look absolutely awesome and I'd seriously consider buying it...as long as it isn't ridiculously priced.
Wow. That's is seriously impressive. I wouldn't part with more than £100 though... Although don't hold me to that.
If it was slapping our fair shores, then it'd be north of £300 if they intended to cover the cost of the NVG, and the usual game cost. I must say, I am very sceptical as to whether it really is active NVG. There's no way there going to be anything more than Generation I if they are, unless the price goes above a couple of thousand. head units with both eyes are horrendously expensive at Gen III, or Gen III+. Check out Cobra and ATN for examples of this - Some Cobra setups similar to the one shown in this 'unboxing' are Gen II and still upwards of £2000. If it's under £300 I will be shocked. And I don't mean £299.99, I mean significantly under. It would also then be shocking if they weren't Gen I, should it be under £300. They'd be cheap **** that you'd not want to put anywhere but in the box they came in, if it's under 300. Probably Russian.
Very cool - agree with lith though, would be amazed if these are sub 300 quid. The guy who unpacked all that was a total douchebag though - how many times did he repeat himself? Sounded drunk too!
i bet that these things will work like this: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1042642/nightvision_headset_hack/
That would actually not be a shock! Check the video at 3:05 - Those look suspiciously like LED's to me. If that's the case, then they could well be sub-£300. However, it does make 'aternate modes' a bit of a weird thing to mention.
There probably similar to these http://eyeclopsnightvision.com/ run for about $75, so it would be well with in a budget for something like this.
Brainwashed fanboys like myself. I don't even care for the nightvision, i need the Prestige edition whatever the cost. OI!!
Wow. Those are cheap and nasty! Russian NVG is seriously bad quality >.> Especially the stuff that sells cheaply.
Okay then what models are we talking about? Because the ones i tried seemed just fine (NSP-3 and the one they used to use on tanks... PNV-something) I have doubts about your russian NVG-experiences seeing as you're in the UK. I could be wrong though.
Im assuming that they're not actually gonna be proper NVG's just somthing one step up from a pair of binoculars with green sweet wrappers over the lenses. And why was there no mention of the PC in the whole thing? Except for when they said about having a voucher for COD1 which had peviously only been on PC. Seriously i know i said they're gonna be crap but i still want them, just not enough to overcome my prejudice against playing FPS with a gamepad. In short if there's a PC version i will sell organs to get it, if not, no dice "i-dub" (seriously WTF)
