I'm thinking about starting a new case mod, I've got a few ideas that im very unclear about. The first idea that came into me head for a new case mod is cold cathode lights and hooking them to a sound sensitive module http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=209_5&products_id=585. The things im unsure about is how they are going to be displayed in a case, witch leads me to my next problem the case. Any sugestions?

First off Welcome to the forums. Secondly this should be moved to the Modding section. Thirdly, you haven't given us much to go off of. They already make cold cathodes that are connected to sound sensitive devices and these (at least the cold cathodes) are used extensively already. In order to give better advice on a case, you need to tell us more on what you want and what you're doing.

    Good luck.

Thanks, I wasnt sure were to post this :S sorry. Well the theme would be white lights and a pure black case. I was thinking to have a thick acrylic piece under the case and put a light in the acrylic that will be sound sensitive. Idk if I sould have a window in the case if i were to have one all the inside would have to be black. The smaller the case the better. I would like it to look clean and simple. Thanks greensabbath.

You could go for a small form factor case like a shuttle. They have cases with windowed side panels.
Personally I wouldn't recommend small form factor cases if you are going to be using parts which produce alot of heat like graphics cards, as the only way to get good airflow is to be very strict with cable management. Or shoehorn a watercooling loop in there.
But if you just want to do simple tasks it should be fine.
There are quite a few modded SFF cases around just do some searching and you should be able to find some.

I dont think I'll go as small as an SFF case or a shuttle case. As I have to fit a full size motherbored in the case. Any one know the smallest ATX case? If not ill have to build it . I would like a case like Danger Den Torture Rack, but aluminium. Once I find the case ill draw up some sketches.

You could go for a Lian Li Mini-Tower as they take full ATX motherboards but are still small compared to some others available.
