Hi, i buyed TRUE-GREEN 6" *DUAL TUBE* Cold Cathode Light KIT and i just unplug the wire to put this black thing that you can see on the picture and i remember where the wire had to go but the cathode doesnt work anymore Anybody know what could be the problem ?
Hi Well33t, i can,t help you fix them "sorry" but i would stay away from them anyway, read this --> http://www.casemodgod.com/ccfl_inverter_rant.htm
oh my god but i pay them so i want them workin ... is there some test i could do to see where is the problem ? or do you think my local electronic store could fix it ?
That link seems to think so, i have took mine out for the moment until i can find some more info, it has crossed my mind to put them back in because if you think about it there is probably MILLIONS of them out there and that is the first bad thing i have heard about them, i know what you mean about the fact that you have spent money on them (me too) but would you rather spend more money on other pc hardware that they might damage.I am playing it safe at the moment until i find out more, plus there is lots of times i leave my pc on over night and cant help thinking have i been lucky after having read that........
I don't know Well33t someone who knows good electronics will probably read what is being said and answer that for you.......
i've got this thing I use it to see how much amper or volt the circuit has but i don't really know where to put the positif and negatif on the molex
Can someone plz help me to repair my cold cathode because they are brand new and i feel very stupid to got them not working If you want some other picture or information, just ask and i'm going to take them.
I do not know how much voltage your volt meter can withstand but if it can handle about 1000v then you could attach the leads to the output of the inverter and see how much voltage is present there. It should be in excess of say... 300v or more. The outputs are, of course, the pins that the little white plugs are mated with.
ok, i think i found the problem : but i dont know how to resolve it you see that there is no volt in the little card. So, somebody got an idea to repair this thing ??
