    Hi together,
    here comes another "storybook".

I begin with the project last year before the german championship.
Because an error right from the planning I don’t let the jury rate the CON.
Therefore I have another Chance this year.

The material: Granite, aluminium and a lot of water in front of the monitor.

For your Information first the assembling until today.

    Und mich erst.

    Das hoffe ich doch.

Now I start with the rear plate. I use the film to mark the cutting line.

Before the sawing must the drill work a little bit.

    Just like planned.

For the Power supply cutout I use a part from a old Case
    [IMG]

After drilling the holes it be a perfect guidance
    [IMG]

Just a little more straighten is needed for a perfect look.

Not only a old case can be used. Also a broken Power supply is helpful.

The TFC Triebwerk will be mountet direct. For this reason I cutt 4 M4 threads.

To get a claen angle, I use the bolt-on "template" und the
    DREMEL-Schleifbänder.

    Done.

    A first preview

    Weiter gehts...

To connect the fan internally it is necessary to break through this wall.

A label helps to get a clear view.

I dont want a hole for the whole connector.

Just a push on the little hooks and the thing is done.

    How do you like it?

After the assembling with some heat shrinkable tubing.

    Self-explanatory
    [IMG]

This holes are for the ...

... electrical power supply for the other "TFC Triebwerke"
The Switch change between 5 & 12 Volt.

very nice! I really like the granite and blue plexi and the control switches. Can you explain/show how they are connected?
I don't understand the extra fan length in the back... but I'm sure more pics will explain... :D

Of course I can show you how they are connected:

    I take a USB Gamepad...

Some micro-pushbuttons and a old IDE kable. I like to use old parts. :D
    [IMG]

    The result:

Sorry, I dont have pictures from the mounting. Maybe this can help. It was one of the first sketch a show the mode of operation.

The final connection: Just plug in the USB plug in the back. :D

Here you'll find the Software PadControl at SPACEFLAKES. KLICK HERE

I dont understand your question: "...the extra fan length in the back..."!
What du you mean? I yust mount a "Case-Fan".
Surely it is not a simpe Fan. It`s a "Triebwerk" from TFC (The Feser Company)

Sweet! I like to reuse old parts as well! +rep for this and the software link

by extra fan length, I was thinking that you have an additional fan on the back. It's a pretty thick fan. I was thinking it looks odd sticking out the back, is all.

The flange will last long. :D
    [IMG]

I use the insulation from this old cable to protect my illumination wires.

    Complete.

    Later more.

Today I start with the Radiator:

    Here again the TFC Triebwerke.

For the optical part I mount some TFC Shrouds.

With the Triebwerk and the shroud comes a lot of accessories...

but for my combination I need some longer screws.

    A M3 thread rod and a cut-off wheel are self-explanatory
    [IMG]

A grinding disk for the DREMEL are perfect to cleen the cut.

    Done.

The LED Module all have a 4-pin power plug. I am sure that is a good idea. But for "Cold Eye" I need a special thing.

Cut to the right length. The rest is best-known.

Now I have two plugs. One for the Fans and one for the LED.

    Here the back.

    Final result:

    later more...

What did you forgot last year while your planning this con? From the Tv report I know that you had some trouble with the water inside the big eye. Do you have to make some parts new?

I find your project interesting, I hope to see more than in the short film on Pro7 last year.
