    Lol, I know, right! :D

Did you see what it runs on? 4-AA's! They say you get 700 Solder-Joints from one set of batteries, not too shabby...although I think I would get some rechargeables...

Heh... this might very well be my first non-dremel mod tool (Though I do have a substantial tool-box, several hack saws and a decked-out dremel) Looks somewhat fool-proof :x Anyone mind linking a guy up to some soldering guides? :D

I've been researching the technology behind this for awhile. This is the first product to use it.

I may be doing a review of it sometime soon.

interesting, but i wouldn't be able to do my bad habit, put the solder on the iron, then hold the thing with one hand and solder with the other. i'd have to clamp my work down, and put the solder on the spot and heat it. Harder i think, but that thing might be better for small quick jobs :thumb:

I don't think it has even been in stock yet, I think they're just anticipating the first shipment to arrive today (at least I think it said march 29th)..

I was reading something on it, and I think I recall the tip being made from some type of material used originally in blast furnaces

    Edit: Yes... here (Source = http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/business/152624_coldheat16.html )

that would be perfect for last time i soldered was 1 year ago i was having problems with my ps2 (game console) so i opened it up knowing i had to solder something because the second controller port was not working well i plug d in the iron and opened up the ps2 and for some stupid reason set the lid right on top of the ps2 then it melted a hole in the lid i couldn't find out what was wrong and 4 months later it stoped plaing the dvd disk so i couldn't play my games on it no more 4 months later traded all the games in got an xbox (just tuesday) im to afraid to touch a soldering iron now and i really want to mod the xbox
