Since I had so much response on the POTM Coldplay post I thought I'd post a few pics of what was suggested. The first one is the most striking, it says abandoned for the winter/autum. However, I would prefer the tricycle to be a little more off centre - somewhere in the lower right corner. I do like shots with empty space, sorry
Somehow I had a feeling you would say that ;-) But I must say I agree as it really is dead centre. Perhaps a crop can save it. Please have a go if you please I too think that it says autumn. Perhaps also because of the long shadow and the hard cold surface. Plus a lot of "empty" space makes it look more isolated. I'm off to UK in the morning so I probably won't be doing anything that includes photo editing until I get back a week from now. But please hack up the shots in photoshop Cheers!
I too like the first the most out of the three. All of them have pretty good colors and lighting, but the first is by far the most interesting to me. The hard shadow on the trike helps a lot.
Haha. It's as if the words jumped straight from my brain to the screen; my fingers didn't even move. QFT.
Solo - maybe position the trike in lower right corner, looking across into the left side. Red - tractor is cropped a little to high in the picture, with too much grass below causing eye to wander between almost two different subjests which are not linked necessarily. Blue - my favorite of the three . . . but if you added some morning mist and sunrise, with the colder morning light, to the Solo, and reframed, that might be my fav.
Unfortunately we don't get much morning mist here, but I'll give the rest a go tomorrow if the sun reaches down between the houses enough to create some shades. (and if I get my ass out of bed early enough )
