I could do with some of this for an upcoming show (just the dyes, not the actual coolant), any hint as to how much a dye bomb (as it were) would be?
Hi there bigsharn Send the info of the show via PM and details of what you are after and Ill sort you some of free of charge ... Hows that sound. Oh and the price for each 1.8 ml Vial will be £2.99 + P&P, Then there is 5ml bottles and 10 ml bottles as well. Just for your Ref. Looks pretty good, but how is it's long term reliability for 24/7 high heat output (ie OCed i7 920)? How is it's affect of Acrylic?Delrin?Tygon? (In the long term). Because if I use this I don't want this to happen: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=226632 in the long run. Go to pg 15-16 to see it happen to other blocks. I am looking at using this (esp. a red color) for an upcoming build in March - July. I and many others (esp. at OC Forums) have been anti-additive because of this, and are recommending going with colored/UV tubing instead to get the colors (and Kill Coils or PT Nuke to kill the nasties + distilled water). So as you can understand, I am a bit hesitant to try this. edit: See my next post
read through the whole trad at XS -> http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=230290 been very open and honist with ppl on there . as you can see reading through we have tested most thing but its impossable to test every thing. as for what you have said that was done with a pre mix not just a dye. That happens when the anti corrisive materl brakes down. (in the tread you pointed out)
Ok, just spent like 40 minutes reading through the XS thread and it looks solid! Anyways, just a clarification: I would still need to use KillCoils/PT Nuke for the loop right with the dye? Or is that not needed? PS: I will let others know about this over at OCF,etc. . edit: One more thing: This is patented/copyrighted (or some sort of IP protection) right?
No there is no patent or any thing along them lines. You will need a kill coil or pt nuke with it yup. i suggest a kill coil my self and then there is less chems going into the system. I know that if you use to much anti mixed metal stuff this does cause build up as even i have seen it happen.
