My grandmother was an incredible cook when I was growing up. Everytime we visited, she was always cooking something, a tart, pie or cake. All natural ingredients.

The only food related show that I watch is Hell Kitchen with Gordon Ramsay, all the others cook like horse ****.

Do you not miss Light Lunch, GK? ;)
(I am showing my age here haha)

Aye - it's a bit cheesy, but the meaty scenes are quite something...

I watch it occasionally while playing tanks. I find it too slow to watch while doing nothing else.

I do however have quite a lot of the stuff from the show. The oven, a kitchenaid, the same mixing bowls.

The wife enjoys it and I want her to try and enter it.

So, sexuality of the subjects aside for one moment, who would you go for?

    Let's do this...

Shag/Marry/Cliff - Mel, Sue and Mary?

Does Mary berry really annoy you that much? I thinks she's sweet. She also writes good cook books.

That's not (necessarily) my answer to the question, it's just a question. Out of the three, who would you do what to?

I enjoy watching It, I Like cooking and baking at times so its fun and they have a pair of presenters who make it all light and entertaining and a couple of judges who add the serious side to the show which i do like

Yes, I picked up a cheap one off Fleabay (it's great for buying meat in large packs and freezing it into more usable portion sizes) - but you can apparently do it with zip-loc bags too.

It's a good solution, and considerably cheaper to do than the £400 that most sous-vide water baths cost. The only problem is that the temperature control isn't as tight as I'd like. I think this is because there's no flow of water to create a more even heating. I'm trying to think of a way of adding a small circulating pump and getting the tubes into the pot while still keeping the glass lid.

Yeah the water circulation is what has got me thinking. I was wondering about a small submersible pump that's on all the time, but this is all just 'thinking' at the moment...
