Anyone play yet? i just bought and i LOVE it!!! great game! especially if you follow the C&C series... any comments?
I hated that game when i played the demo and ive seen alot of bad reviews for it I love the c&c series and play them alot but this game is plain bad imo.
I enjoyed it playing lan with some buds... havnt played internet yet though... The game is far from complete... thats the only problem i found with it.
renegade rules at lans played it for over 9 hours straight!!!! the look on someones face as u steal their mammoth tank then run em over with it though the single and multiplayer i agree are far from complete only took about 10 hours to complete the full game still when its finished it will rule even more
right on hehe that look is "classic" is it not? :dude: However, what I meant by "complete" is the lack of certain buidings and vehicles. A complete Renegade would allow you to fly orcas etc... and erect other defensive structures such as fences, etc... The maps are pretty static... All-In-All though, I love the game. I havnt had this much fun LAN'ing since tribes 2 came out (which they screwed up on badly but still fun with a large LAN going)
what they REALLY need is an option of having a player using the original c&c interface to build structures and drop way points for the other players cos that would allow a much more tactical game and also allow you to produce units controlled by the person with the original c&c interface so u could bring a tank up for a player as their tank is dieing imagine multiplayer AHHHHHHH and apparently the latest update has orcas in just trying to get it now
Sweet! Ill have to look for it. That would be pretty slick if they had the isolinear interface to go along with it. It would be sort of a command post like in Tribes. Would be nice.
The AI in single player sucks. Multiplayer rules though. If only 1 team member could "control" the game in a manner similar to that of the original C&C games, controling building and deployment of vehicles and so forth, using the originals overhead view.... do i hear a possible game mod on the way???
that would be so friggin awsome! they are comin out w/ a air-mod so u can fly stuff..... that should be pretty sweet!!!
though i couldnt patch my copy of renegade properly cos i patched it (cd drive is on the blink again) i can confirm that the latest official patch contains air units such as the chinook and the appache for nod atleast so GO DOWNLOAD IT NOW see i even provide a link why r u still reading this GO GET PATCH NOW
in multiplayer there is and in multiplayer practice cos i semi installed the patch (then my pc a$$ed up) and they appear in the vehicle buy menu (for nod at least) and theres a button maked transport helicopter and appache
