Okay, well I thought it was about time to upgrade my aging Compaq v6000. Well, I had it for 1 year, so it's not that old. But I could use a performance boost for how heavily I use my laptop. Like running a virtual operating system and maxing out my RAM usage. Now there's not much you can upgrade on a laptop, for me about all I can do is install more RAM and a bigger and faster HDD. I had to send it in because the wireless stopped working. a known defect with my model. Even though it's out of warranty, they still fixed it for free. Its on its way back now, I should have it by Monday. I just ordered the RAM, HDD, and Vista today and I'm having that overnighted also. I should have everything by Monday. Also, I should make note, another reason why I'm upgrading my laptop is one of my RAM sticks went corrupt a day after the wireless card stopped working. Go figure on the odds of that happening.
