Competition: Design a Header Image

if only my camera was't so bad.

 

Here's my attempts:

Don't worry about copyrights, I took the photos.

 

Like this one, I was playing with shots of my 360 controller but couldn't get it right.

 

But I also included the PS3 controllers in that shot, it helped add depth. I just threw all my controllers on a bedsheet and took some shots.

 

if you get enough entries you should have these headers on rotation. ie: get one of five modding headers every time you visit the modding section.

I like these. Can you try something with full width picture and fading into the BT logo?

 

Please try not to set your jpg compression too high on these headers please. Adjust the compression until you can't see the artifacts appearing around the purple circle in the logo.

 

or just use png. lossless goodness

 

I'm real bad with photo shop so anyone how wants to try can get the original pictures from me

Yes, yours look particularly bad. When you save the images you should get a quality option, make sure this is set to 'High' or similar.

These didn't take too much time and they could be improved on greatly. I kept them as PNGs as well for re-compression.

 

Thanks i'm going to take a look at it i thing it is because the template was of an unknown type and my coputer couldn't open it so i used and allready made header jpg that was posted.
Is there a template in JPG format?

 

MaximumShow: Love the apply one. Not sure on the green around the 1's and zeros.

I can supply you with a png-24 with transparency because we are hoping to get some overlap with the logo you should really be using layered photo editing software to compose the header.

 

The new headers are now on the site, thanks to everyone who submitted some. Our plan is to update them more regularly in the hardware, modding and news sections.
