I can't wait to see how those welds come out once finished. I'll also be interested to see how your temps will be once your loops are put together. Excellent design by the way.

Thank you. My temps should be around 30C. I dont except miracles...though it will be interesting to see how much difference one can get in temperature difference when the radiatiors have their own pathway for airflow.

    Thank you.

    Update: Radiator mounting finish work

Hello. Time for the weekend update. Finishing off Radiator work completely or least I think,:dremel:. The wires for the fans and pump still have to be routed which will be done later.

    Update: Another Res. design

Hello. It's been a long minute since my last update. Been waiting on Metal from my supply company. Going 2 be welding the top half of the case real soon, maybe tomorrow at the earliest. I decided to completely redesign my Resvoir. Here is what I came up with.

The Old on the Left and New of the Right

    Fill Port w/ breathier hole

Time 2 get this welded n everything else too. Enjoy.

    Update: Hard Drive Brackets

Weekend update. I started working on the Hard Drive bracket today, here is some of my progress...

Drawing in 2D, the two hard drives are suspended in the air...more on that later though.

Are you going to anodize that aluminum due to the problems of mixing it with copper and brass in the radiators?

No. I do see where you are coming from. Though, I have some experience here already, in my last case, Triphane, the Res. was all Alum, jus like this one. With proper anit-corrisive agents, I'll probably get a good 5 years out of the watercooling system, before I have to go by new blocks. I have already had Triphane up and running for 2 years and I haven't seen my temps take a plunge for the worst, which would be indicative of the blocks going bad.

It is very hard once all welded up to get an uniform anodizing coating on the inside of the Res. So either way, I will still have to deal with corrision.

Consider putting a clear coat on Aluminum that's contacting the water just to be safe.

I would luv to due just that since u have now mention'd it. Though I can not, because the Resvoir will be seam welded to make it waterproof. That will in turn make the clear coat AL real hot and thus either dissolving or evaporating the clear coat and possibly contaminating the water. Thanks for the help though

Damn. Completely forgot you're welding this lol. What about other options with out welding that can be used to fill the gaps? I here JB Weld makes water tight seals (seen it being used on car rads around the web).

JB weld here really isnt an option. JB weld take forever to set up once it is applied. I have tried different ratios and it still takes about a whole day. I love though how the packing say it only takes 15 minutes for set up to occur, lol, i guess this is where the face palm comes in.
