I recently got a new HD tv, and picked up an old high def kit for my original xbox. It didn't come with any cables but figured I could run out to the store to pick some up, as it was a killer buy at 5$. The cables I need are standard component video (red, green, blue). Turns out all the stores sell component cables at an insanly high price. Now as far as I can tell, these are just standard RCA cables, but with different colour ends. The guy in the store explained that the sheilding is different and blah blah blah, buy the expensive one for better quality and whatnot. What I want to know is will a standard RCA cable work fine, saving me 20$ or so? I have a feeling the dude at the store was just trying to sell me on the more expensive product, and dosn't know what hes saying. I don't need super high quailty pictures (it is an old xbox after all), and just want to use this so I can take advantage of the widescreen mode. I'm sure when your talking about your HD-DVD player, your going to notice the difference with an expensive monster cable, but I don't care as long as the picture is average and playable. Thanks
