Lots of nasty injurys here! My one earlier this year at school (residential), shame I didn't take a picture of the blood everywhere!

Due to the lack of tools, I used a scissor to try and cut a small cable tie holding a couple of wires together in the computer, it wouldn't cut so I used some excessive force and it finally cut through, the scissors went flying forwards in my hand, one pointy end went right into my hand, more precisly, the vein in between the thumb and index finger of my left hand.

Needless to say blood went spurting everywhere, the walls, carpet clothes and all over the door, I had two HDDs out on the desk, and the blood missed them both by less than a mm! I nearly blacked out due to the blood I lost! - I'm mildly haemophiliac.

    So, A&E, 4 stiches and a scar!

Let’s just say I have a fan grill INSIDE the case on most fans and not for aesthetic reasons.
    :( :worried: :)

I touched a 3200 RPM Processor fan one time while the computer was on. Blood went everywhere.

:eyebrow: That being shot by a .22 at a range of 15 feet. I doubt anyone would call that a ***** wound, they hurt like buggery (iv seen someone get shot by one, and I thought this guy was tough, but he wasnt up to it).

    The worst.

I am quite stupid if you think about it. I have a long history of computer related accidents. The first was when I was sleeving the PSU of my first PC. Needless to say, I sleeved it while it was in the case, PLUGGED IN. I removed the molexes, then I accidentally turned on the cpu, AND TOUCHED THE MOLEX. Let, me tell you, it knocked me clear across the room. No permanent damage though, it just made me stupider.

Another time was when I was trying to enlarge the window on my X-dreamer 2 case. I held the case from the bottom with one hand, and was cutting it with the dremel with the other hand, The dremel slipped and cut of my index finger. So now my hand looks like this

I can't remember how but I cut my finger so much it was almost to the bone or something but I didn't feel anything and didn't even notice it !!!

Until someone was like dude have you not noticed that you just cut yourself rather badly...

VERY strangely I went to the toilet to wash it and I threw up for no reason ????????

Ok, well I thought some pictures would be handy.

There are a set of rules that need updating, you know the don't run with scissors etc

I’d like to add, make sure the extension cord isn’t trapped before you walk off with a soldering iron and have it pulled though your hand.

The large burn around the base of the thumb was from stem of the iron, it wraps right around the thumb into the palm, the smaller blister in my hand is where the tip got me and left molten metal. I’m really lucky I have thick skin, literally. Nurses hate me because needles never want to go in. They all blistered quite badly, but thanks to some great bandage stuff that acts like a second skin and wont budge with anything but an oil based product they all stayed together. Doc said the little one would have been classified a third degree burn had it popped.

high amounts of bloodloss and pain makes a lot of people throw up (i'm not a doc so i dunno why), but i know when i dropped a paving slab on my index finger causing the bone to pop out i threw up.

Okay, this isnt technically from modding , but I was in a hurry to get upstairs and cut myself on the metal door, 15 CM cut about 1.5 cm deep, and refused to go to the hospital until I had some photos, and as luck would have it, the batteries were dead in the camera lol.
