I hope this post is okay in this forum, if not please could an admin delete.

As we are moving to France I'm having a massive clear out and I have some old computer cases (A white windowed raven and what I believe is an old coolmaster wave in black) plus various computer bits including a 2600k system (think the MB has failed but everything else should be working). A 3 bay 3.5 hot swap cage plus a 4 bay 2.5 hot swap cage.

Just wondering if anyone on this forum wanted these bits for (for free) before I offer them on gumtree etc, collection would be from the Bruton area of somerset. There is a slim possibility I could drop the bits off to Bristol / Bath but things are very hectic here with the move so I couldn't guarantee it.

    Mike

(I would have posted this to marketplace but as I'm predominately a lurker I don't have access).

Normally the rule would be "no trades outside the Marketplace," but as you're donating things I'm happy to give you an exception. Good luck with the move!

I really don't think this will be allowed to be honest even though the stuff is for free which is a shame as I would have like the 2600K :(

Ninja'd in the opposite direction lol

In that case would you be willing to post the 2600K (providing your willing to split of course) if I covered the postage?

I assume this is external - how many 5.25" slots does it need? I'm in Bristol right near Cribbs Causeway but happy to give a few quid for postage or same for petrol/hassle.

When would you be free for a collection of the tower system with the 2600K in it ? I live in North Somerset so could come over one evening after work next week.

    So update on whats left;
    The cases
Matterhorn cooler for the 775 socket.
A dark rock 3 cooler (I think all the bits for the various sockets are there) used on my new build for 6 months but not quite up to the job.

An old 850W semi modular PSU (coolmaster I think), I would seriously recommend that anyone who takes this checks that the pin configuration of the VGA / Sata power connections is correct as there is a slim possibility the modular cables could have got mixed up with a different brand (its highly unlikely but I wouldn't feel very good if I gave this to someone and it fried some components).

    Afraid the rest has gone.

Does the Dark Rock cooler come with AM3 brackets and would you be willing to post?

Could put the PSU to use too if nobody else wants it.

CPU installed in my pc and seems to be working fine.

Had a few minutes panic when it wouldn't boot but I think my HDD had a fart and locked up but a slight tap to the case and all was well, think it might be time for a new HDD.

I would run Ubuntu 18.04 live disk and let it do SMART test on the drive.
