My computer has stopped booting. It sometimes gets to the initial post and beebs once and starts loading windows then freezes. At other times it does not get as far as loading windows but freezes soon after the the single beep and at other times the fans start and the lights come on then it restarts after a few seconds before it beeps. I have checked that all cables are correctly connected. I assume it is a hardware issue but I am a little unsure where to start sorting out this problem. Any advice would be much appreciated.

My set up is as follows:

Go down to a minimum configuration, take out one stick of RAM, one HDD, the optical drives etc...
