computer wont load up windows xp pro sp3

well here is my specs first:

evga 650i ultra t1
256mb ram
80 gb sata drive samsung
30 gb ide drive samsung
hp DVD/CD reader writer
Intel p4 processor lga 755

OK my problem is that it loads the kernels and drives and stuff but then its get to a blue screen and stops and at the bottom it says starting windows setup but it doesn't do anything for like a minute , then after it goes to another screen and it says windows executive setup but it doesnt do nothing for about 5 seconds and finally it goes to the stop .. an error has occurred etc. etc. ...... i thought maybe its a hardrive problem with the sata so i changed it to another drive i had laying around but still the same problem

 

test the ram (use summit like memtest)
test the HDD's (use the manuf. progs)

try a different PSU

 

Hi, did you write down the STOP message? It is usefull in finding out the cause of the problem . . .
