    Hi,

The Condemned demo is out now and as i'm looking forward to the release at the end of the month i downloaded it:)

It plays nice with all settings maxed except soft shadow. Got a little choppy now and then but never below 20fps, even with a couple baddies on screen.
So if you got a better set up than me i'm sure this game will run ultra smooth at higher resolution than the 1024x768 i use.

Anyway here's some shots i took with fraps.#

The wrecked department store area... creepy beyond belief. I won't spoil why, but if you don't cack yourself atleast once in that section you're not human.

Yeah it was only for the screenies that i played with AA on. The framerate in the 20's is too low for me to play it.
saying that i was quite suprised to find it did play reasonable with everything on Max.

I can't wait till it comes out. I'm so looking forward to it. It's all about atmosphere. It's why i love the Silent Hill games so much:)

According to Play... it's "In stock" now

I've just ordered it from them - coz it's also only £17.99 (vs £25 @ Gameplay!)

    OMG they do have it!!

I still have to wait till the end of the month tho as i've just gone over from weekly pay to monthly. I didn't want a sub so i'm basically living off last weeks wages till then!

£17.99 must be bargain of the year considering how much the 360 version cost when launched!

Let me know when you get it:) Lucky get!!

Went looking around the website while downloading the demo. Damn cool. It has a Myst style prequel game. Very well put together.

I suppose I'll find out what this game looks like on a 7900GT :)

That's exactly what I thought when I'd finished it :eeek:

You don't want the demo to be half the game of course... but I thought this demo was particularly short :(

It'll be through my letterbox tomorrow...

I LOVED this game, it's a bunch of fun. My favorite weapon so far is the Paper Cutter. That's just harsh. *slice-bash* I'm impressed with the enemy AI, they act so erratic and unpredictable. I was playing in the dark w/ headphonez last night and almost wet myself on a couple occasions. Glad my hubbie was home, I don't think I could play it alone. Anyone know what you get if you collect all the metal pieces and dead birds?

It seems to make my PC get BSODs. It's odd really, I havn't had a game do that in years, but I don't think it's the system 'cos its primed for a day, OCCT for about 6 hours, and plays things like GRAW and Oblivion without any bother :/

^ Typical answer would be to try it running everything stock then.

Well thats why I said the systems details. My rig is stable, if 24 hours of prime, 6 hours of OCCT and about 200 hours of oblivion can't knock it over, I sincerely doubt my overclocks wonky. My conclusion would be the game is.
