Electronics Connecting a laptop screen to a desktop pc

    OK i got this HP laptop screen and I want to connect it to a standard vga port ..or dvi. Is that even possible?

    Not without an expensive controller and a hell of a lot of work :blah:

    Maybe with a LVDS driver and FPGA on a dev. board. Expense is fairly high.

    However, on another point, some of the embedded pc motherboards have an LVDS connector, which I assume is to connect a TFT panel. They are more affordable.
