I am thinking of maybe getting a HTPC, but our TV does not have a VGA, DVI or HDMI input, it does have the component video which worked fine with my PC using a Radeon 4850 and the supplied cable, but obviously is a lot of hassle to move everything when I want to watch a film.

I am wondering if I can connect this motherboard to my PC using a cable such as this however I am not sure if it would work, would anyone be able to tell me if this will work, I don't really want to spend the money to build the PC only to have it not able to be used for what I wanted.

    Thanks.

Just to clarify, you want to build a HTPC based around the inno3d Ion mobo, and connect it to you're TV via the HDMI - Composite cable you refered to?

Yes, I am asking if that would work.

To the best of my knowledge, you cannot convert HDMI to Composite with just a cable.
You need a dedicated conversion unit like the one below.

Maybe look into VGA -> Composite/Scart converters.
